KIDS LACROSSE AFRICA: GROWING THE GAME IN UGANDA
Kids Lacrosse Africa is a Ugandan-based non-government entity that is on a mission to grow the sport of lacrosse across the continent; from the grassroots-community level to the National level. The organization is focused on developing programs that prepare junior and adult players for local and international competition, while delivering life lessons both on and off the field. The organization supports the Uganda National Lacrosse team, which plays in the World Lacrosse Games and will play at the 2028 Summer Olympics.
The Jinja-based entity is led by Mamawi Andrew. With his enthusiasm and dedication, the organization has gained support from the local community, providing lacrosse programming to six schools and two towns. With the help from Signature Athletics, Inc. the Signature Foundation has donated lacrosse sticks, apparel, lacrosse balls, volunteers, and more to help Kids Lacrosse Africa achieve its mission.

SIGNATURE ATHLETICS & KIDS LACROSSE AFRICA
Signature Athletics partnered with Kids Lacrosse Africa for a non-traditional cause-based 2022 Black Friday Cyber Monday Campaign. The first of its kind in the lacrosse world!!
Kids Lacrosse Africa (KLA) is a Ugandan-based 501c3 non-profit that’s helping bring lacrosse to schools and kids across their country. Over the last 5 years, they have introduced the sport to hundreds of kids, dozens of schools, and have built an incredible volunteer based organization that is committed to growing the game across Africa!
As part of the partnership with KLA & Signature, Signature Athletics donated over 100 sticks, 500 pieces of apparel, and more.

HOW TO HELP
Kids Lacrosse Africa is focused on raising funds to support the 2023 calendar year. As a non government charity in Uganda, Kids Lacrosse Africa relies on donations as the singular mechanism to power operations.
The goal for 2023 is $65,000 raised, which covers:
2024: Volunteerism Mission Trip
Signature Foundation is hosting a Volunteerism (Volunteer + Tourism) Mission Trip to Jinja, Uganda to support Kids Lacrosse Africa.
Participants can expect to be fully immersed into the Ugandan culture. On the lacrosse field, volunteers will be hosting clinics, working with the coaches, and providing support to the Organization. Off of the field, volunteers will be spending time with Kids Lacrosse Africa players and coaches (group dinners, camp fires, and more). Volunteers will also participate in excursions unique to the area: exploring the Nile River on boat cruises, exploring big game Safaris, swimming in hot springs, and so much more.
